Very enjoyable weekend. Room and en-suite superb. Very good breakfast. Ate in lower floor Restaurant and the food was very good.
On arrival no knowledge of reservation. After checking are printed confirmation, hotel confirmation there records were showing reservation was for two days later.
Hotel room was very nice staff very nice, however the noise of a machine that sounded like ventilation system came on and off every thirt yseconds or so,could be heard above TV and vibrated through your head when trying to sleep, ruined what would have other wise been an enjoyable stay, when we complained we were told we should have requested a quiet room!
Rooms very clean and well equipped - staff friendly and helpfulGood value breakfast
My stay at the Riverbank Plaza was fantastic, I have stayed in many hotels in London, the majority being 5 star, but the Riverbank wins hands down, if I had to fault anything then it would be a slight confusion at breakfast, but it wasn`t enough of a problem to dampen my wonderful stay, I would highly recommend the Riverbank and I have already booked my next stay with them.
The only downside is the restaurant, the service although very polite, is slow, maincourse came without rice, so it was cold by the time we ate it. WE were forgotten about at breakfast, the waitress took our order, but then forgot. The executive lounge is comfortable, you do pay extra for this, includes pre cocktail drinks and nibbles. fruit juices, cold drinks, plasma tv and bathroom. Close to westminster, the london eye, houses of parliament, all walking distance. There are a lot of tariffs so make sure you get what you want. River views are at extra charge.have stayed twice, but would go somewhere else next time.
We did not manage to get two executive rooms as one was a double room and we requested twin rooms. We were then moved to a suite whereby there was a bedroom and a sofa bed, unfortunately the sofa bed did not work! The staff then moved a single bed into the living area. We were given a bottle of rose for the inconvenience!!
Fantastic modern hotel on riverbank facing houses of parliment, 10min walk to nearest tube station. Room was good , not much of a view unless you opt for riverview room but dont let it put you off, if your in London sightseeing you will only want to sleep here. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Anyone who has anything to complain about this hotel is just hard to please. Would i stay here again, absolutely.
WE CAME FOR A ONE NIGHT STAY TO WATCH OUR DAUGHTER AND SON RUN THE LONDON MARATHON. THE HOTEL IS WELL PLACED FOR SIGHTSEEING BEING JUST A FEW MINUTES WALK OVER LAMBETH BRIDGE TO BIG BEN AND THE HOUSES OF PARLIAMENT AND WESTMINSTER ABBEY. WE FOUND THE STAFF VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL AND HAD A VERY ENJOYABLE STAY AND WOULD THOROUGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. WE LOOK FORWARD TO ANOTHER STAY FOR A LONGER PERIOD.STUART AND GRACE ROBERTS.
Quite disappointed just checked out today. Executive room looked over numerous train tracks the room shook when one passed, expected to see the water for a riverside hotel. took reception an age to find my booking on check in, booked a twin room as with my daughter for a special weekend and we ended up in a double... GREAT SHAME woill not use them again.
Les Miserables was an excellent show and perfect ending to a fab day in London. Already looking to book to see the show again. Thanks for making it so simple and straight forward !!
Have stayed several times now and every time is great
We were treated fantastically from start to finish, nothing was too much trouble. The executive rooms are very nice, and if booked have a gorgeous view of the thames and big ben. Well worth it.
Friendly and efficient staff.Chino Latina bar - pleasant atmosphere - staff extremely friendly and helpful.Extractor fan in bathroom not working - room 404Dining room - friendly staff reasonably efficient - breakfast adequate
parking could have been better
The hotel was nice and clean, beautifully refurbished, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. My only criticism is the view from my room. I was lead to believe that the room I had booked would be over looking the river Thames . . as it happens our view was directly in front of a number of other rooms. This really spoilt something off which we had been looking forward to since I booked it in December.
Was disapointed with reception being constantly crowded with people. Functions should not have their focal point opposite Main reception desk as it makes it very dificult to converse with staff.
hotel very good, but disappointed with location of room stuck around the back overlooking railway lines.
Had an executive room but had to pay extra for a river view. This was well worth it. Breakfast choice and quality was excellent. Will return subject to another special deal.
Very nice room, breakfast greatBut the river view room. houses of parliament & big ben made the visitMany thanks Paul Ratcliffe
Initially we were offered an upgrade costing £30 per night (after we had booked and paid for an executive room) however the upgrade meant we had a view of the Thames so we paid the extra and the view was spectacular. That is where it ends as we could hear a guest next door clearing her throat the rest you can imagine. The drinks were overpriced even compared with the Raddison in Liecester Sq. I would absolutely recommend the Novotel Lambeth Palace for value for money.
staff very helpful excellent
this is my second stay at this hotel both times stayed in river view rooms. these rooms are well woprth the upgrade . would go back again.
Found this hotel comfortable, clean and in a good location - the only downside was the soundproofing of the rooms! There was a masked ball going on doing my stay, and this meant that doors were slamming into the early hours! Apart from that, I would recommend this hotel.
Great Hotel. We booked the Executive room and were upgraded on arrival to an Executive Suite which provided access to the Executive Lounge (All complimentary). Breakfast, bar, service staff all exceptional. Will definately book again.
Room,Breakfast, Service, Check In/Out all very good...........it`s a good walk to the Underground at Vauxhall Station.......a nicer walk towards Westminster along the riverbank...about £6 from/to Waterloo Station by Taxi.......Modern large International Standard Hotel nothing personal about Hotel just a functional Hotel...but hay! you are not going to live there!.........Recommended!!!!
this hotel offered a very high standard of accomodation, customer service and food. Everybody was friendly and helpful particular the waiters and waitresses.
Disappointed to find that after paying a conisderable price for an executive room I then had to pay extra for a river view. The exective lounge proved to be a con as it had limited opening which would only work if you stayed in the hotel all evening. The first time I`ve ever been told I would have to wait until a table was free for breakfast - nearly 15 minutes - to then be told we would have to pay for a coffee while we waited in the lounge! Not impressed! The concierge, who was very organised and helpful, was probably the most impressive part of the stay. Expected more from a hotel of this supposed standard.
complet packagefrom parking the car to checking outevery department member were friendly, courteous,& extremely politewould highly recommend
Although our bedroom was comfortable and the beakfast service was exellent ,we were dissapointed to find that our room looked out over railway lines and my wife being a light sleeper was not very impressed, as the advert shows a view over the thames and westminster. Given the choice we would have preferred a room with this view. Regards Mr and Mrs Darrell.
Things that went wrong were quickly put right - but it inevitably changes the experience. We had to spend ten minutes in the (albeit delightful) company of the concierge to have our TV fixed late at night. We were given a suite when our alloted room turned out to be very smoky (faffing about changing rooms). The toliet flusher came away in my hand (but I spent time finding out how to mend it rather than more time faffing with reception.) But the biggest problem is the £25 charged to your card - described as `not a charge` when we booked in) but on check out you discover it is a charge for a week - then you get it back if you haven`t run up any expenses. It really takes the edge off ... and needs to be notified in advance so its clear. I stay in lots of hotels and have never been asked for this before. Is it a London thing? Or a new thing? Left me feeling fed up ...
On arrival we were given a complimentary upgrade from an executive double room to an executive one bedroom suite on the top floor(room 1153) this room offers superb river views although down river from parliament, london eye etc. The executive lounge provided free drink and nibbles and we wereably looked after by the young man on duty fri night. In fact all staff were very friendly and very helpful Breakfast was not the best we have eaten but was edible and there was plenty of choice so a small price to pay for such an excellant stay at a great hotel which we would not hesitate to use again
