Good hotel..excellent location...pleasant staff...was overpriced for current market conditions & breakfast was not included in price. However will consider staying there again.
Well-appointed room. Helpful and courteous staff. Hptel in ideal position - surprisingly quiet given proximity to centre of city.
Excellent staff - friendly & professional.
Mife and i were made to feel very welcome, bed and food excellent
I would recommend this Hotel as one of the best I have ever stayed in. The service was excellent and the room outstanding. The location could not be beaten. Stay here when in Dublin!!!!
The Irish welcome was very warm and friendly and greatly added to the excellence of the Hote and requests were done quickly, efficiently, graciously and often with humour. The rooms were of a very high standard and kept cruptiously clean by the efficient staff. We only ate breakfast in the hotel, due to social commitmnents, but the menues were on a par with the upmarket restuarants in the city centre. I was sorry not to have eaten in Thornton`s as my wife and I have very pleasant memories of the old Peacock Alley restuarant.
Front desk staff very helpful and efficient and overall set-up of the hotel is pretty slick and stylish but just the little touhces like the un-manned conceierge desk and housekeeper maid came in the room not knocking just slightly put me off
Absolutely fantastic, very comfortable, helpful courteous staff, and great location.
Overall thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Fitzwilliam. The rooms were very comfortable and service in the hotel was excellent. The only problem I found, was having requested a room with disabled facilities, they did very kindly upgrade us to a deluxe room which had a separate shower as they felt this would be the best for me, however I was slightly disapointed to find that there was only one hand rail and this was over the bath. Despite this I feel overall that the hotel provided a great location and service for our weekend stay but would suggest that it may not be suitable depending on levels of disability.
THE HOTEL IS IN A GREAT LOCATION CLOSE TO EVERY WHERE IN CENTRAL DUBLIN.THE STAFF COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE HELPFUL AND PLEASANT,THE HOTEL ROOMS ARE VERY WELL FINISHED DEFINATELY 5* STANDARD.THE FOOD IN THE RESTRAUNT WAS EXCELLENT TNE NIGHT WE WERE THERE IT WAS VERY BUSY BUT THE SERVICE WAS GREAT.ALL & ALL A GREAT HOTEL
when we arrived at the fitzwilliam we were told that the room had been double booked. However the manager had fixed us a room at the Westbury which was wonderful, and also he gave us a free meal with wine and four cocktails at theFitzwilliamso we were more than happy. I think he dealt with the situation extremely well.
bright and clean, delux rooms not quite up to standard, but good enough. Consierge arranged everything we needed, nothing too much trouble. Breakfast goodhad a lovely stay in Dublin, thanks.
After loosing a bag on the flight, the staff were very helpful in contacting RyanAir. The consierge helped with a choice of resturant bookings for all 6 in the party and pointed us to the right shops to buy replacement clothes for the lost ones, appropriate to the restaurant. We would definately go again. Only suggestion is the air conditioning needs to go lower than 19degrees. Minor point but you have asked!
This hotel looks good - it`s contemporary without being too cool. It`s centrally located, right on St Stephen`s Green, round the corner from the shops and bars, yet tranquil inside. The staff are helpful, friendly and informative - nothing was too much trouble. The bar was great. The concierge really knows Dublin and is pleased to help out. The room was very attractive and chocolates were left every night, not just when we arrived. The housekeeping was great and they seemed to take real care with our belongings, even when we had left them strewn around the place. I love this hotel and would recommend it as a fabulous place to stay in Dublin.
Bar - not exactly welcoming. Need more comfortable seating. You need to advise guests at time of reservation how to access the car park on arrival. Your web site gives little information. A map of dublin in the room would be helpful as well as a history (if any) of the hotel.
Fitzwilliam hotel gorgeous ,staff very nice and food great.Only one problem, don`t get a room on a low floor at the front of the hotel i.e. ROOM 208, Very noisy.
We had a great stay at the Fitzwilliam. Our room was lovely and we stayed in one of the comfiest beds ever! The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful and the hotel bar was a welcome retreat after long days (and nights) out and about. The location of this hotel in the beautiful and historic St Stephens Green area is ideal for shopping and nights out. I`d recommend this hotel to anyone and it is well worth the few euros extra over a lot of other hotels in dublin, I`m certain our friends who stayed in the Holiday Inn Central would agree!
Always a pleasure to stay here. Rooms are equipped with everything one needs for business purposes and at the same time, they are very comfortable and peaceful.
Amazing hotel. Great location. There was no hot water on our first evening, which was annoying, as it would have been nice to shower before bed, but they gave us free breakfast and dinner the following day.We will be coming back.
Little concerned that the bed had a large `dip` or hole in it on one side. It was if a spring had broken. However we managed to sleep to the side of it.
The only disappointment swith the Fitzwilliam is the rather dark & unwelcoming reception area and the souless bar. However, the dark reception was more than made up for by the excellent receptionist who quickly got us booked in & personally showed us to our room. The room was small but very well finished. One minor point is that a cable to plug an ipod into the CD player would have been useful. The food at breakfast was very good, and the staff were attentive without being overbearing.Overall I`d happily recommend the Fitzwilliam to anyone who wanted a hotel in the heart of Dublin. If the reception & bar areas could be sorted out it could well become the place to stay for those wanting a modern hotel in Dublin rather than the old established names.
I booked a Girls Want to Have Fun deal but didn`t get the wine and chocolates as promised. We did get the wine after we had been out for the evening so didn`t want it then! However, the treatments were wonderful and the hotel overall excellent.
Check in was such a easy & good 1st experience. We were shown all aspects & functions in our room. Room was just lovely. Housekeeping very honest.I left my purse by mistake on the bed when I went out for the evening and when I returned the bed had been turned down and my purse was sitting for me to see. Totally intact. I wouldn`t have known where I had left it. I would recommend the hotel and will use it again. My 6yr old daughter says that the room service was great as it came so fast and she loved the movie choice. I did not check my bill fully prior to leaving but when I contacted the staff when I returned home they were so helpful even though the fault was mine as I had left without checking. Too short an experience.
Internet service on TV was atrociously slow such that I gave up in the endBreakfast in room was disappointing and coffee was forgottenRoom was nothing exceptional and I didn`t like the idea that people could look into my roomStaff were exceptionally helpful and friendlyPlug in sink did not work and it was necessary to manually remove it to empty sinkOnly 4 packets of coffee seemed a little mean to me
A very stylish, modern hotel with very attentive and well trained staff. Breakfast was very nice and our lunch in the bar lounge was excellent. Would definitely recommend for time out with friends or for couples.
From the moment we walked into the hotel we were made to feel special,From reception through to bar staff everyone was friendly and courteous Our room was excellent and the staff who looked after it were top classThe restaurants are first class I just can not praise the whole experience enoughWe will certainly go back again
This particualr hotel is perfectly located for a weekend break in Dublin for shopping, restaurants, bars, taxis, and LUAS tram. The hotel is clean, contemporary in design and has a pleasant atmosphere. The breakfast was terrific and the staff friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
Lovely hotel. Superb position, staff were friendly and helpful. The televiion did not work properly (couldn`t get any channels half the time ) this was compensated by free movies although they didn`t say which ones and they only volunteered the info when I complained about the lack of television channels. Most annoying though were the singing radiators at night. How are you supposed to sleep!!
Exceptional service and comfort.
Would recommend to anyone.
the hotel was excellent as were the staff and food we only stayed 1night and it was memorable the hotel was alive and buzzing and i can honestly say when we return to dublin i will definetely be staying again thanks for everything
Do your research on the hotel via the internet. The hotel is brill & in the perfect place if you want to shop,drink,...see dublin.Hotel staff very very helpful.I checked everywhere on prices & hotel direct were cheapest with breakfast included...remember dublin is not the cheapest place to go but the quality is high(breakfast at this hotel costs around 25 euros.Well worth it,if you`re trip is with family or romantic weekend...definately 5* quality.
Although it is classed as a 5 star hotel I am afriad that the attitude of the staff was too business like for me. I was there to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday and after much research on the internet your hotel seam to be excellent.Unfortunately on our final morning Sunday we hadn`t to leave early and our breafast to our room arrived at 6.25am although we had requested it at 6.15am as we hadn`t to catch a taxi by 6.30am which was booked through you. When the breakfast arrived the waitor accidentally dropped it! So we did not have any breakfast even though I had paid for it. On telling the desk we got a shrug of the shoulders!!! Not very professional.I think if I was on a business trip it would have been sufficient.Well I hope in future you will trian your staff to be more polite as we were.Than you
