I stayed with my grandaughter on a bed and breakfast deal. Housekeeping and service were excellent, room was a llittle tired.Overall a pleasant stay in the centre of a very busy city.
We stayed in a recently refurbished part of the hotel which was really quite nice but the breakfast was excellent - not one of those monster self service buffets where the smell of the warmers overwhelms you as you enter the room but a table served menu with a tasteful cold buffet as well. The general standard of service was excellent. The location is of course outstanding. The hotel had suffered a little in the past and needed a refurb but seemed to me to fully deserving of its 5 star accreditation now.
breakfast expierence poor complained to manager the bacon and hash browns were over cooked . the bacon still had the rind left on making it difficult to cut digest and keep on the plate!!
Service very average and in Lounge/bar very slow. Breakfast very average, usuall problem with buffet where too much put in heaters at start and by 9.00 am all tepid at best. Food on other parts of buffet not replenished when inital food used, i.e. Croisants. Room very hot and no oportunity to open windows so noisy air conditioning had to be used at all times including nighttime.
The tiles in the bathroom were broken and uneven. We booked and paid for our room some months previously and yet they still did`nt know where to put us, the luggage wasn`t taken up, I had to ring to ask for it AND for someone to come and make the flat uncomfartable trundle bed. The staff seemed to make a game of how long they could make you wait before you actually said something to them. My stay in London wasn`t ruined but it could have been better, not going back
Great service, location and facilities
Good greeting and offered room at 12 noon, so no waiting. Room was very good, with desk and separate seating, plus large window overlooking Regent Street. Excellent double glazing meant we did not know that we were in Central london.
my room on the 3rd floor was very, very noisy. I didn`t sleep at all as I could hear every bus passing.I got moved for my second night to the 6th floor and that was fine.
Got a great deal as a mystery hotel . Have paid a huge amount more for very poor accommodation in london. The staff in this hotel very definitely make this hotel 5 star.
Great hotel, after initial shock that they had it on their system that we were supposed to be arriving a month later than on my booking!! Lucky I had all the reservation details with me, but they didn`t seem to be overly concerned about it!Pleasant room, not enormous but who is in the room all day in London! Lovely comfy bed, duvet and pillows and nice bathroom. Didn`t have time to use the gym/pool etc but it looked very nice. Great breakfast - best to have this included as ours was. Would recommend this hotel from our stay.
Room was ready when we arrived (9.30 in morning). Room was comfortable, breakfast was fantastic, and location was great for getting around yet not much noise.
Really helpful and friendly staff , lovely hotel!
Excellent location for show, shopping and sightseeing
The position of the hotel is excellent, right in the heart of Picadilly. The service was polite and friendly. The room was large and surprisingly quiet. The restaurant is stunning, and breakfast was good. Another plus is Burlingtons bar which is relaxed and oozes class.
Had an excellent stay, staff extremely polite, courteous and unassuming. Room very clean comfortable, swimming pool complex delightful. Relaxation room lovely.
Housekeeping was inconsistent. One day no soap, another day 2 towels and 4 bath mats, another day no washcloths. yet another day no shampoo. Lightbulb burnt out in desk lamp. Room too hot, windows had very limited range to open. Hotel staff was curtesy and helpful when problems were mentioned. Breakfast and Internet access included with room was fine. Bed and pillows were fine.
This hotel is a must, now I`m not really the one to do these comments but I got to with this hotel, the staff are amazing and the room was supurb the breakfast that was included was amazing, you have got to go for this, or your gunna miss out
Not sure that I would say that this hotel deserves to be called a five star, but it was certainly a nice hotel. We had a very basic twin room; which was fine as the price was discounted due to being a hidden gem. Our beds were comfortable and the room was very clean with a flat screen TV and complimentary water, tea and coffee. The staff were all very pleasant and service was good. I liked the location of the hotel which was close to Piccadilly Circus and the West End. Problems were the extremely slow lifts and on check out day only one lift was working. It wasn`t always easy to get through to reception on the phone - but these are niggling little things. For me it lacked something to be a five star - decor very ordinary and it all seemed a little bit pedestrian. On the whole a very good hotel, but think that I would look elsewhere for my next stay and for no particular reason.
Hotel was excellent. One of the lifts wasn`t working but thats about the only fault I can find with the Hotel. Terrance restaurant was exquisite and the service excellent. Room was clean, well presented and beutiful decor. Would definately use this hotel again!!!
otherwise very comfortable. good beds. excellent breakfast.
On check in we were informed that the twin rooms which we booked were not available so we had to have an extra bed squeezed in to what was allready a small room. The worst part however was the bathroom, there had obviously been a leak some time ago & the ceiling was still damp with mould growing. On informing reception we were not offered an alternative room or any other form of compensation as they claimed they were full. I suspect we would have been treated differently had I booked directly with the hotel using my xxxxx preferred guest card!
Fabulous hotel. Certainly worthy of it`s five stars. The location was perfect for our needs with the theatre we were booked into being no more than a two minute walk away.Apart from the magnificent building, which was beautifully furnished, the level service provided by the staff was second to none. Apparently, at random certain guest rooms receive a complimentary bottle of champagne. This added the final touch to a perfect weekend break.
The room was reallt comfortable, not huge but still comfortable. Excellent staff, very helpful. The pool and other facilities were great lthough the relaxation room needs work to make it relaxing (warmer, more comfortable loungers and more in number too, better music). We were missing a few things in the room - bathrobes, enough towels, hand soap. Generall y a perfectly central pace to do London and such a great deal through Hotel Direct.
The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. However the room was a little shabby and the shower wasn`t too clever - unable to alter the heat of the water, just had to take what you got! (actually a bit too hot!)
We were upgraded to a deluxe room, fabulous king-size bed and cotton bed linen. Breakfast restaurant gets very busy and not enough space for people to sit. Drinks from the bar are very expensive. Service is excellent. Room clean, no ironing board/iron.hairdryer but all quickly brought to the room on request. Bath was very short, excellent shower.
