Three Sister's is one of Sovremennik's most famous productions.

Director Galina Volchek has directed this great play three times, each time finding new answers to the most existential questions.

The performance centres around the revolving circle on the stage which represents the real world, full of pain and suffering.

The bridge across it leads to a promised land and a different spiritual reality.

The paradoxical nature of the play is crucially important for the director, who sees today's Three Sisters as a story of lost people, who are not capable of discovering themselves to the full, but who still want to change the world.

Please Note: The play is performed in Russian with English surtitles
