Getting there:
Flights into Schiphol are serviced by bus number 370 and trains that depart every 15 minutes to Amsterdam centre.
Getting around:
Amsterdam has a great public transport network. You can buy a 2 day travelcard that gives you unlimited travel on Metro, Tram and Bus. Check out: GVB
Tipping:
10-15% is normal in cabs and restaurants (where a service charge is usually included in your bill).
