Getting there:
Flights into Leeds Bradford are serviced by a direct hourly coach service into York Centre. Check Out: York Aircoach
Getting around:
Most of Yorks major sights can be reached on foot. But if you want to visit further afield the First York buses are the cheapest option. Day passes enable you to hop on and off, and are available from the driver.
Tipping:
10-15% is normal in cabs and restaurants (where a service charge is usually included in your bill).

Sinbad ( a poor old washerwoman`s adopted son), armed only with an amulet and a Blue Peter badge for swimming the river Nile with one arm tied behind his back, sets off on his greatest comic adventure to save our world from the evil clutches of Warlock.

Yorkshire`s historic market place, York`s Food and Drink Festival is set in and around the City`s many unique historic venues. The Festival`s main focus is local and regional food and drink. The City is also an excellent touring base for gastronomic tours of the region. This year the Festival wants to emphasise its educational programme, which runs in the Guildhall and the new Festival areas of the Coppergate centre and at Autumn Feast. There is an extensive 10-day programme featuring - tutored tastings - delivered by `Slow Food North Yorkshire` (of both food and drink of all kinds) - an extensive range of Yorkshire and visiting markets - themed lunches and dinners - a diverse drinks programme (everything from champagne, wine and port through to whisky and real ale) - meal deals in many restaurants in the city - hands on cookery workshops - cookery competitions - children`s cookery - community progamme.
