The Clarence Hotel located in Dublin`s Temple Bar district was originally built in 1852 and re-opened in 1996 after a 20 month refurbishment. Owned by 2 members of U2 - Bono and The Edge, this 5* luxury hotel is contemporary in style and places an emphasis on personal service. Many of the property`s original features, such as the wood panelling and stone floors, have been retained in the public areas, and all furnishings have been designed and crafted primarily by Irish artisans.

FROM AIRPORT BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT: From the airport take the city bus to O`Connell Street. Disembark at the Gresham Hotel and walk straight down O`Connell Street and continue over O`Connell Bridge. Once over the bridge turn right along Aston Quay, which leads into Wellington Quay. The hotel can be found on your right hand side. The walk is 10 minutes.
BY ROAD FROM THE AIRPORT: Follow the signs on the dual carriageway for the city centre. Drive straight on through Swords Road, The Drumcondra Road and onto Dorset Street. Take a left off Upper Dorset street onto Frederick Street and down Parnell Square onto O`Connell Street. Continue over O`Connell Bridge and following the one way system you need to go directly into D`Olier Street. Stay in the right hand lane and follow the traffic around to the right onto Westmoreland Street. Move into the left hand lane and at the traffic lights, just before O`Connell Bridge, turn left down the Quays. The Clarence is 500m on from the Ha`penny Bridge.
