All of the rooms at Kildonan Lodge Hotel are individually designed to incorporate the charming features of this Victorian property. The Four Poster Rooms have a very traditional elegance whilst other rooms have a very contemporary feel. All rooms are en-suite with high quality toiletries. In-room facilities include flat screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities, complimentary water and IPod docking stations. Guests can enjoy a generous Scottish Breakfast every morning.The hotel`s restaurant, offers a dinner menu of classic dishes served every evening (except Sundays). After a busy day in the city guests can unwind and enjoy a drink in the hotel`s cosy lounge in front of the welcoming fireplace. Please Note: Some of the hotel`s double rooms are located in the lodge which is within the grounds. These rooms have the same facilities as those in the main building and guests may be allocated either.

Just 1.5 miles from the city centre, the hotel is in a peaceful location without taking you too far from the sights and sounds of Edinburgh. Guests can take advantage of the hotel`s ample free parking and use the excellent bus service to travel into the city centre. The bus stop is outside the hotel and buses run every few minutes. The journey takes 15 minutes to the Royal Mile, which is the heart of historic Edinburgh, linking Edinburgh Castle and the Palace of Holyrood. Whilst strolling between these two great landmarks visitors can also make a stop at the Museum of Edinburgh which charts the cities fascinating history. The hotel is also ideal for visitors to other locations within the Edinburgh area including Murray Field Rugby Stadium which is just 17 minutes drive from the hotel and The Royal Botanic Garden of Edinburgh approximately 25 minutes drive.

BY ROAD: Leave the A74 at junction 13 and take the A702 exit for Edinburgh/Lanark/A73. At the roundabout take the 4th exit onto the A702. Stay on the A702 by taking the 2nd exit at the next 2 roundabouts. Continue on for approximately 22 miles and take the 1st exit at the roundabout onto Carlops Road/A702. Follow the A702 for the next 12 miles and at the roundabout take the 1st exit onto Biggar Road/A702. At the next exit take the 2nd exit and stay on Biggar Road/A702. Merge onto The City of Edinburgh Bypass/A720 via the slip road for Berwick upon Tweed/Leith. After 1.5 miles take the A701 exit sign posted City Centre/Peebles/A703. At the next roundabout take the 1st exit onto Burdiehouse Road/A701. Continue to follow A701 for 2.1 miles which leads onto Liberton Road and then onto Craigmillar Park and the hotel will be on you right.
BY TRAIN: From Edinburgh Waverley Station exit the station Via Waverley Steps, turn right on to Princes Street and right again on North Bridge. take a bus from North Bridge Stop NC (bus 49) Stop ND (bus number 3, 8, 29) Stop NE (bus number 7, 31, 37, 49) all take approximately 15 minutes. Leave the bus at East Suffolk Road and the hotel will be on the left.
