Good value for money, friendly staff and convientently located close to Heathrow.
Rooms spacious and clean. Staff very helpful Good breakfast
the restaurent there serves some nice italian food.
The reception staff advised us to use Fetham railway staion to travel to London, this was a much better way than suggested on the web site (bus to Hatton Cross tube) as the railway station is only 2minutes walk from the hotel. Overall, the room was good and clean.
Wouldn`t recommend this hotel to anybody - the room was freezing and took hours to heat up.
Reception and Concierge staff friendly, facilities a bit dated, but fine. Restaurant staff left me in no doubt about feelings when I failed to leave a tip (paid with card and only had a fifty pound note). Would have been happy to leave bigger tip next night but instead ate elsewhere.
my stay at St Giles wasnt what i expected the hotel is lovely but the srevice is very poor..first i was standing for 10 mins without been checked in, went to breakfast poured some milk and found it had hair in it, i went out came back and couldnot enter my room because the key didnt work, and we had no choice but to go downstairs for breakfast because they dont do room service..i dint think i would want to stay there again because i didnt feel welcome..
Room was not very clean. Room Service means go downstairs and fetch the food yourself. In house movies did not work but were on the bill and had to be taken off. Lady at reception on check in was cool and unfriendly but gentleman on check out was very helpful. I guess an hotel can charge what they like when they are close to Heathrow Airport. Concierge was friendly and helpful. Glad I only had to stay one night. I would rather have paid a bit more and stayed somewhere else a bit nicer.
Very HAPPY with the hotel, facilities and the staff. Room was clean and well presented. We arrived in London from Liverpool at 9am and were able to check stright in which was a delight. Would stay again if ever in that part of town again.
Used cup and saucer was not cleared from bedroom. Polystyrene cup was not replaced after use. TV remote control did not work properly. Frequently ran out of food items at the breakfast buffet. Insufficient drawer space in bedroom. Low energy lighting in bedroom better for environment but not very pleasant to be in. Temperature control on shower would not remain at the chosen setting. Towels too small. No option to NOT have freshly laundered towels every day. Windows dirty. £5 per day to park in hotel car park.
The hotel was good alround. Easy check in, uninterrupted rest, spacious dining rooms and easy check out. I also found public transport good. Perhaps the hotel could just do something about putting shampoo (rather than just bar soap) in the bathrooms and iron boxes in rooms or at strategic places in the hotel. Otherwise a superb place to rest.
food was good - only negative was no eomputers available - overall a good experience - I will be back
all employees of the St. Giles Hotel that i came across made an excptional effort to ensure that my stay was enjoyable. i left very content with the treatment i recieved while staying at the hotel and i will definately be making a return trip in the future
Only down side is when food ordered for room service, you cant arrange for it to brought up to your room.
My wife uses a wheelchair and the room we were allocated was good and roomy with good access and facilities in the bathroom. The furnishings were functional and the bed was comfortable. The room was very clean and the food was acceptable.
Views superb from the hotel; gym nice and compact but would be extra special if you had a jacuzzi where travellers can relax; dinner extremely tasty and to high standard; breakfast "box" good idea for early mornings. I booked through Hotel Direct and had no problems, will use you again if using Heathrow or in area.
We arrived later than expected on the day but the reception staff were very helpfull. The lady on the desk rung the kitchens to advised them we had arrived and would they still make food for us and they did. The kitchens also made breakfast boxes as we were leaving very early in the morning to catch another plane. On the whole, a very nice clean and polite hotel. P.s The vending machines on all the floors need to be looked at as non worked !!!
Great value for money. Shopping centre, pub, coffee shop a few mins walk was a surprise bonus. Incredibly quiet considering close proximity to the airport. Great! Would use again and reccommend!!
The Good: The Concierge helped us by allowing us to make a free phone call and also told us that we could collect boxed breakfast although we had to leave the hotel at 6am and the breakfast was being provided at the hotel only after 6:30am. Disadvantage: Not close to any tube station. Taxi from Waterloo station to the hotel cost us a hefty £50.00!!
Hotel & Staff 10/10 - Nice & roomy bedroom - you need to ask the conceirage to unlock the windows if you want them open! Excellent location, train station a short walk away ideal for Twickenham or centre of London. Breakfast excellent also - overall couldn`t fault the hotel, would definitely stay again.
Cannot fault the Hotel.First of all its very easy to get to, ample parking (only £5.00 per 24 hrs). Its close to bus stop and train station just 2 mins walk. Twickenham only max 7 mins on train-ps Genesis were fantastic! Staff very helpful and friendly, breakfast great.Bit noisy when people leave rooms but hey, its an airport hotel not one in middle of nowhere. All in all will gladly come back.
The room was clean and well maintained. There could have been more towels and pillows but overall value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking cheap and secure. Only one minute from mainline station into Waterloo made it a great base to visit London. I will use it again.
We enjoyed our stay at the hotel, we stayed there to attend the Rod Stewart concert at Twickenham and found it to be very convenient. The food was excellent, facilities good - we would be happy to recommend the hotel, and will use it again.
I feel i had extremely good value for money and would recommend this hotel to friends and family. I would certainly stay there again.
I needed to stay near Heathrow for a flight to Italy this summer. I found the St Giles Hotel was easy to find, clean, efficient and had a fantastic Italian restaurant! The staff were wonderful as well.
I have stayed at the St Giles a number of time the last time was about 2 years ago, this time I thought the hotel was looking a little tired, some of the decoration was grubby and my bathroom was moldey, othet than that the staff were helpful and freindly and the evening meal was good.
told staff about sink and water and received an apology but wouldnt return
Clean.comfortable, reasonably priced accommodation. Ideal for Twickenham Stadium. Will return
Room was too warm, but my wife prefers to sleep in the arctic. Hotel was nice, clean and the staff very friendly. Feltam train station less than 2 mins walk providing access to Heathrow and the City centre
