I was very impressed by the way that I was given an adaptor when I told the receptionist that I had forgotten to bring mine and was not charged for the use of it or asked to `buy` it as can be the case in other hotels. I made sure I returned it at the end of my stay! I also liked the fact that I could use my room key to access the business suite and was not charged for time on the computer to send a few emails and to check my flight. Overall my impression of one of helpfulness and a genuine welcome to all guests. I was very comfortable and will definitely stay here again
Really happy with it, but we could hear the room above muffled words. If you are not distrubed by hearing other people then everything else was really enjoyable. Even with that we would go back
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Staff all spoke excellent english and were very helpful. Good sized rooms for Paris hotel and well equipped. Good lively area, lots of bars and restaurants. Also easy to get to the Metro. Only small complaint was breakfast one morning when everything ran out, including plates. Also menu stated eggs how you wanted them cooked but this didn`t happen at all. However this is our only very small complaint. Have stayed in Paris several times and this was the best hotel we have used. Would recommend it.
On the whole, the staff were very helpful. We would like to single out Marc and Valentina who run the bar on the ground floor - they made us very welcome - pity that Marc is moving to another job shortly. On the last night we ate at the Terrasse restaurant on the 7th floor - views were fantastic - especially at sunset - and the food was excellent. We will definitely return.
My wife and I stayed at the Terrass Hotel in August with our 8yr old daughter in August room excellent staff extremely helpful especially Danielle view over paris from the terrace on the 7th floor fantastic. I was a little sceptical about staying in Monmatre but it was great, plenty of cafes and bars very handy for the Moulin Rouge we all went( they do allow 8yr olds). A few minutes walk from Abbesses or Blanche Metro stations and Sacre Coeur along with the Salvador Dali Museum and the Artists Square within easy reach. We walked around at night as a family without any problem . A memorable stay and we be revisiting this hotel soon, Dr Steven Mason BDS
Enjoyed our stay, room in quiet area of hotel(off road), breakfast could be more organized, tried to book Moulin Rouge direct at the booking office no chance fully booked all weekend, on Friday morning asked concierge if he could do anything ! got us booked for the revue show that evening! best seats in the venue made the wife,s weekend and i have to admit what a great show, hotel handy for metro and le open tour bus once again thanks to the concierge for making it a great weekend!!!
excellent location, great food. staff are lovely, especially concierge staff who get the best vip tickets to the Moulin Rouge which is just around the corner from the hotel.
A nice hotel and very convenient for us as we wanted to look around Montmartre. The room was a bit on the small side but all the staff without exception were courteous and very professional. The air conditioning in our room was a welcome relief as it was very hot while we were there (August 2010)
Room, though clean, comfortable and modern was a bit small and only had a shower attachment. Breakfast was very good - the best continental I have come across. The restaurant food was also of a very good standard, and if it is not raining, the 7th floor terrass is a wonderful place to eat, having views across the city. Staff were both friendly and very helpful. I would definitely stay here again
WE HAD A LOVELY TIME AT YOUR HOTEL, STAFF REALLY HELPFUL AND PLEASANT WOULD STAY AGAIN. THANKS
We used The Terrass as a base for a 2 part stay in Paris. Finding it was straightforward and the welcome was warm & friendly. Rooms were well equipped; for the second part of our stay we requested a one with a bath - no problem at all. The restaurant provides a varied and very enjoyable self-service breakfast and dinner is available (& well worth it). Perfectly located on the edge of Montmartre, all the key features of the district are easy to get to on foot. We would happily book again.
I have to say that, accounting for service, professionalism, and helpfulness, this hotel is probably the best I have stayed in anywhere in Europe, possibly globally. I have been able to work in my room, in the business center within the hotel as if I have been in my own office. The food at breakfast was excellent, with first class service and consideration. Such was the overall willingness on the part of the staff to help, front of house member, Danielle, even took me through topping up my French mobile phone. The whole team should be credited!
bed too short in room 405 and I`m a short guy!, tea and coffee not replaced every morning...most annoying considering the price of one teabag/sachet of coffee and considering this is fairly standadrd in the UK...dont forget this is a 4star hotel!! apart from minor niggling issues a very good hotel..friendly helpfull staff..no piano player or rooftop terrace like the video on their website..shame, i think thats what sold it for me. I would return but basing it on their location only...would like to try other 4 star hotels for comparison
Chose this hotel due to stay 3 nights pay for 2 offer. When the window fell out of the frame (extremely dangerous and heavy) we were upgraded to another room straight away. Very clean, reception staff accomodating. Bar staff in the Terras roof area off hand and unhelpful but otherwise stay was enjoyable. More 3 star than 4 but location was great.
Hotel staff polite, helpful and friendly. Triple room lovely - separate sleeping areas which was great. We were only staying in Paris overnight and found Montmartre to be a bit far from central Paris sightseeing although if you are familiar with the Metro system it`s probably fine. Local cafes and restaurants were reasonable and found that most people spoke English.
This hote has style is clean and very well run with cooperative staff. Food a little pricey but plenty of good restraunts close by.
Superb location in central Montmarte, the staff were helpful however the breakfast could be better - more variety and generally more quantity required with better quality. The Terass rooftop is excellent, however the superb view is obscured by plants!!! Must remove these! Also a little pricey. The lift was not operational for over 24 hours, thought this could have been sorted quicker. Overall though a pleasant experience.
Perfect hotel in a very nice area of Paris. Watch out for high coffee prices on the roof terrace, but the view is worth a cup. Excellent, affordable cafes in local area along Rue des Abbesses and along Rue Caulaincourt. Will stay there again.
Very nice hotel. Lovely family room. Very attractive interior decor. Very clean. Roof terrace gives fanatastic views over Paris. Great location. Didn`t eat in the hotel. Lots of restaurants & bars close by. Close to metro station. Would most definitely recommend to others.
Lovely hotel with a fabulous terrace bar on the top floor that overlooks Paris. We were due to check in at 2pm but could not until nearly 3pm. There are some issues about the room changeovers that spoilt it but can`t complain otherwise. Compared to some old, creaky Paris hotels we`ve stayed in, this one was best. Room was comfortable and well air-conditioned.
We were not able to get into our rooms until after 6p.m. and one room after 7p.m. The staff offered us a free cocktail and allowed us to keep our rooms the following day until 6.30 p.m. the next day. We had a meal in La Terrasse Panoramique which was delicious and the staff were polite and helpful. The 6 ladies who stayed loved the hotel and found all the staff polite and helpful which is why we have rated the Terrass as excellent because they all exceeded our expectations after our initial disappointment of delayed access to our rooms.
good location for moulin rouge etc friendly staff and well decorated rooms would stay again
Rooms excellent, Staff (that I had contact with) professional, polite and accommodating. Situation superb for visiting Montmartre and views over Paris spectacular........(when the appropriate room is booked) A Parisian Hotel with American Service. Highly recommended. One Note: There is no Parking on site but a Large Public (pay) 24hr is close by. (or try your luck on-street). However It is possible to unload luggage etc. outside the entrance.
The only item that prevents an "Excellent" is that the Restaurant was rather understaffed which meant that breakfast was a bit of a scrum at peak times.
Having read other reviews of the Terrass before booking we had high expectations and we were certainly not disappointed. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the room was spotless. We were given a booklet and map of Paris on our arrival and everything was explained clearly to us in English as our French is fairly basic. The breakfast was lovely and very relaxed with a good choice. We would have no hesitation in highly recommending the Terrass and hope to return to Paris within the next 12 months and would definately re-book.
First leg of Honeymoon was here and from the staff organising a room with a fantastic view to the first night`s dinner in the bedroom to the last day leaving the place was fantastic. Area is great as well with lots to do and see and eat nearby - a real parisian experience. Cannot recommend highly enough - was glad got deal though as normal price was steep.
Wonderful hotel, friendly, helpful staff. Superb location.
Stayed for 3 nights in Paris at the Terrass, all of whuch was very enjoyable. We were looked after as soon as we walked through the front door, staff were very friendly, helpful and keen to make our stay as wonderful as possible. Would defo use again, ideal location for bus and metro use and very reasonable resturants (be warned Paris is very expensive), Do book through hotel direct as best pices around by far.
Nice hotel, standard rooms were a bit small and ours was noisy (road noise). Also very hot! But overall a good stay.
The hotel was in a great central location with loads of great restaurants within walking distance. The staff were so helpful. The hotel was spotless and the breakfasts superb. Our room was small but perfectly equpped. We will definately re book when we come back. Thankyou for making our stay perfect!!!
