Rubens is in a great location for sightseeing ! The hotel stay was very good, lovely clean rooms, great breakfast and good service.
Very friendly staff, food excellent, dealt with a problem in our room promptly and followed up the next day to check we were happy with solution.
A hotel with character in a good location. Friendly staff make you very welcome. The food excellent, especially the breakfast.
Very confortable bed, god Hotel overall.
very friendly polite staff made us feel very special and room was immaculate excellent!
We spent the weekend in London and found The Rubens to be an outstanding hotel. It is very close to Victoria Railway station, so it is in an ideal location for visiting many landmarks. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and all the facilities were spotless. There was a wide range of food available for breakfast. We can`t wait for our next trip to London when we will definitely book in at The Rubens again!
service was wonderful and had a great time and would use the hotel again
Everything was clean and comfortable. The Hotel has a lovely atmosphere and the staff are helpful and very attentive without being too overbearing. The breakfast is plentiful with a variety of dishes to suit all tastes! Would definitely return in the future!!
The only negative comment i would like to make is that we had some issues with room service. the issue was soon rectified and the food was changed it was the length of time that we had to wait for the food to be deliverd to the room. but on a more positive note the staff where fantastic especially Dave the concierge he was very helpful and friendly, also i would like to say a big thank you to vincent at bar for his friendly service and also to the rest of your staff for making our stay so enjoyable. i am hoping to bring my mother up for a short stay before christmas and looking forward to seeing you all again. Thank you
1. Toothbrush holder in bathroom of Room 444 really needs throwing away. 2 Instructions on how to improve heating in the information needs to relate to those rooms which do not have radiator thermostats such as Room 444 3 Drinks tray needs to include hot chocolate for teenagers and younger children 4 More cartons of milk needed on drinks tray 5 Excellent breakfast 6 Excellent staff who are willing and keen to do, with pleasant welcoming attitude 7 Fabulous location, history , decor and ambience
very nice hotel but we were encouraged to upgrade £30 per night to a room i would only describe as basic
Food, Bar and service were all excellent but room was rather small for the price. Breakfast was excellent and the Carvery was OK but expensive.
All well except for heating control in room - too hot and thermostat did not respond by cooling down
We were expecting a small room as it was London and the buiding was old but to my surprise it wasn`t. We had a twin room and was beautifully decorated. The staff were very helpful and polite and very willing to help. The breakfast was a help yourself buffet but could not fault the food or choice. It was very nice to have a cook there on hand to cook your eggs as you like them fresh. Will go there again.
Good size bedrooms and bathroom. Everything in good working order. Rooms tastefully decorated. Staff friendly and efficient
Everything during our stay was good, the only thing was our room smelt of smoke. Both myself and my wife do not smoke and could not understand why this was.
This hotels major plus is its proximity to Buckingham palace. All the staff we met were very good and helpful. Free guest parking behind the hotel ( at the weekend only ) was a bonus for us as we drove. Bedroom was small and faced the middle of the building where all the air con units were so we had no view but continual droning - but not terrible.Bathroom was really nice though. would reccomend it if you are going to the palace
Very nice hotel, lovely choice of breakfast and a pleasant room with comfortable furnishings. However, the view was non existant facing on to a concrete building. The other rather annoying thing was being kept awake until around 2am on Sunday morning by music from a wedding reception being held downstairs. In fairness, the management offered guests a complimentary glass of champagne at breakfast over the weekend by way of compensation. But, I would rather have had my sleep!
Can you quote me for a Double room for the 25th September
Ideally placed for Buckingham Palace, and the West End.
Our room (140) was a little dissapointing for a "Superior double" the fact that it was a corner room with a full corner missing resulted in the bedroom being very cramped, not exactly what I would have expected - should we stay again I would check that the room was a little larger and that there was not a wedding reception booked in the restaurant below us! (we do like our sleep..............)
The staff were helpful and friendly but twin room we had although tastefully furnished was much too small , not enough space or drawers in either the bedroom or bathroom, otherwise a very nice hotel and good location. Also disapointed that there was not a stand up shower.
Great hotel to stay in.The staff are second to none.very nice and in the heart of it all and only a 3/4 min walk to any top sight seeing attraction,Will use again.
This is the 2nd time I have stayed at the Rubens. Excellent service, every detail is taken care off. I particularly appreciated the soya milk which I have to take instead of dairy
Good service, clean room, excellant breakfast. Did not see any of the refurbishment so that wasn`t a woory. Centrally located for all attractions.
Would certainly recommend it to other people.
Staff were warm and helpful and genuinely interested in their customers. Facilities were excellent. I will definitely book here again.
I enjoy staying in British style hotels. I can tell you there are several that I will never return to. There are two things that matter in my hotel choice. First, is the room of adequate size and comfort. The last requirement is that the hotel personnel treat you as a proper guest. The Rubens fulfilled both expectations
Lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful atmosphere in the bar/lounge area.
