The Fitzwilliam boasts a Michelin Star restaurant, Thornton`s Restaurant and the parquet floored The Inn on The Green. Both are popular with Dublin`s well heeled and guests alike. Also notable, with superb views across St Stephen`s Green, are Ireland`s largest roof gardens. All rooms are beautifully but simply furnished with solid walnut and oak furniture. FROM DUBLIN AIRPORT BY BUS : Take the Airport bus to O`Connell Street in the centre. Then either take a cab or walk the short distance down O`Connell Street to O`Connell Bridge. Cross over the bridge and follow signs for St Stephen`s Green (you`ll pass Trinity College on the left and walk down the pedestrianised Grafton Street). At the end of Grafton Street you`ll come to St Stephen`s Green. Walk straight on along the west side of the Green and you`ll find the hotel on the right.
FROM DUBLIN AIRPORT BY CAR : Follow signs for the centre of Dublin and then O`Connell Street. Drive down O`Connell Street and over O`Connell bridge. On the south side of the bridge take the left fork that faces you (not the road along the south bank of the river) onto D`Olier Street. Turn right at the end of D`Olier Street onto College Street and follow the road around Trinity College. Keep to the left with Trinity immediately to your left (avoid the fork around to the right). This will take you onto Nassau Street on the southern edge of Trinity College. Take the third right off Nassau Street into Kildare Street.Turn left at the end of Kildare Street with St Stephen`s Green in front of you. Turn right 3 times around the Green which will bring you to the west side. You`ll see the Fitzwilliam on the left
