When we arrived our room smelt of cigarette smoke. The first contact at reception told us rest of hotel was booked up. When we rang down again the front of house manager was able to move us down the hall to another room. The double rooms are very small and the glass door into the ensuite which doesn`t close fully is not suitable for a double room and leaves nothing to the imagination. We`ve stayed in lower starred hotels in Belfast that had far superior rooms for a fraction of the price. Not what I expected from a four star hotel. Won`t be back.

One of the best locations in Belfast. everything you need for a great stay is within walking distance. Friendly, helpful staff. Only regret is that the residents bar didn`t stay open late nor was there any night concierge to serve drinks to the room.

The hotel is beautiful, excellent food and resonanle parking fee for 24hrs. Really comfy beds. Very disappointed that you had to pay for wifi usage .

My wife and I stayed in the Europa Hotel on the 6th and 7th of February. As well as being ideally located I was struck by the friendliness of the staff. Without exception they couldn`t have been more helpful. We only ate breakfast in the hotel, it was so good we didn`t need to eat lunch! We`d have no hesitation staying there again.

Our room was freezing and ended up with a heater, getting up and down during the night to turn it on and off, I`m now sneezing and coughing, at 3.10 am the staff downstairs give somebody out key to burst into our room , me and my chum jumped up frightened out of our life..... Ragin how dare they ..... Never again will I ever stay here , that could of been anybody coming through our door.... A total disgrace!!!! Also value cabs have a contract here to pick up people but we called a taxi last night at midnight for a girl and they said 20 mins and they would phone reception, we waited over an hour until I asked a member of staff and they said they never phone and just pick up anybody waiting outside, very very poor

Myself and my two daughters had a fantastic overnight Christmas shopping stay at the Europa. Staff helpful and had a Luvly breakfast. Will definitely be back.

Just spent 2 nights in the Europa. Hotel staff were very welcoming and Concierge were extremely helpful as it was my first visit to Belfast. Location is excellent 10 mins walk from Shopping centre, also very cpnvenient for bus city tour which was an eye opening experience of Northern Ireland history. Stayed in a luxurious triple room on first night and a very comfy double second night.Beds are first class and decor is spot on. Breakfast cannot be faulted. Spent an evening in the atmospheric first floor piano bar looking out on the wet streets of Belfast. Would definitely return.

Perfect from start to finish room was clean bed was sooooo comfy!!! Definitely going back!!

We usually choose not to stay in large tourist hotels, but booked the hotel so we could say that we had stayed in nthe most bombed hotel in Europe. We cannot fault the staff service and attitudes. They were excellent and I recommend them for it.We were given a free upgraded from the standard room to a room at the front of the hotel on the eighth floor - but cannot compare the two to say what we gained from being upgraded as we didn`t see the standard room. It was comfortable and superbly clean, but we found it a little small, if by "upgrade" they meant a "better" room. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide range of Northern Irish produce and we were seated immediately both times we arrived despite the sheer number of people they were processing.

Everything at the Europa hotel is excellent, the rooms, service, restaurant, bar & piano room, even the fireside in the foyer! The staff are very welcoming & helpful, look forward to staying there many more times when I come to Belfast.

Excellent hotel, staff friendly & helpful. Rooms nicely decorated and clean. Had breakfast & lunch here on 2 days all excellent. Would definitely stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Irish hspitality

This was our second visit to the Hotel Europa. We returned because of the great location, friendly and helpful staff and very comfortable rooms in a tastefully designed hotel. One small complaint this time had nothing to do with the staff but some of the guests. There was a big function on the Saturday night and we waited over ten minutes to get a lift to our room on the ninth floor as some of the inconsiderate guests were blocking the lifts. When the lift finally arrived crowded, one of the same guests had pressed every floor, so it was a long wait to get to the ninth. At 4 o`clock on Sunday morning, a drunken guest disturbed our sleep trying to get into our room and insisting that we were in the wrong room. However, we will return again but maybe we will check ahead if it is a busy weekend or not. Fantastic welcome and service as usual from the hotel staff.

We had a great stay. Nothing was any bother to the very helpful staff. The breakfast was fantastic.

Staff first class, Rooms excellent and food very good, Breakfast is excellent. Crown over the road just adds to the experience.

Would be good if your kitchen had egg cups. My wife requested two boiled eggs for breakfast with soft yolks. She got two solid hard boiled eggs in what appeared to be butter dishes. Had to support the eggs with sugar packets just to keep them upright. They were too hot to hold. Would have thought a hotel such as yours would at least have had egg cups and know how to boil two soft eggs.Other than this we had a great time. Really enjoyed our stay in Belfast and the hotel was excellent. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

We had breakfast in the Lobby. Met by a member of staff who appeared somewhat harrassed, and almost inconvienced at our presence. Went to get breakfast juice, had great difficulty getting to it, as the queue for cooked breakfast ran along that section, so spent most of my time apologising to other guests. Only to find there was no orange juice, or milk for cereal. Asked for same from the girl who greeted us, only to be met with the familiar harrassed look. No eggs available for cooked breakfast. No pots available for tea at the tables. Altogether, a very substandard experience, considering the cost of our stay, would definitely have expected a much more pleasurable experience. Stayed in Europa last year, and had luxury of bath robes and slippers in our room, not none this time. Had some problems on departure getting our car back, due to a mix up with room numbers, thus delaying our departure considerably. I definitly would not consider the Europa again.

Good value for money

Had a great stay in Belfast thanks to the Europa Hotel Staff. Location was just brilliant beside the train station and very short walk to shopping. Hotel very clean and staff extremely friendly. 2 choices of bars for night time in the hotel. Overall had a brilliant stay and will be returning to the Europa.

No full length mirror in the bedroom. The meal we had in the ballroom was very ordinary. It didn`t taste home cooked and the dessert was bought meringue nests, I am sure. For the reputation the Europa has it would need to improve although the breakfast was good and not too tired!

This is a lovely hotel it`s the 3rd time we have stayed here. The staff are all friendly and helpful and the breakfast is excellent. Would recomend!

we can only speak highly of the europa hotel. We were going for a 2 night stay & found it to b ideally located to all the aminities of the city & we had a very relaxed time there. we would recommend it to anyone

The food was excellent and the room (quality) fine, if a little small - but, as it is central city located, this is understandable.
